The BALKANISTIC WORLD journal accepts for publication only manuscripts that have not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
Editors’ Responsibilities
§ 1. The editors are responsible for ensuring that
a) the quality of the journal is maintained at a high scientific level;
b) freedom of opinion is preserved;
c) there is no scientific misconduct;
d) no inappropriate economic or other factors influence the content of the journal;
e) corrections, amendments, retractions and apologies are printed, if necessary;
Submitted manuscripts that have passed the preliminary review are scanned for plagiarism software strikeplagiarism.com. After checking for plagiarism, eligible manuscripts are evaluated by the editors for their originality, methodology, importance of the topic concerned and compliance with the scope of the journal.
Anonymous review
§ 2. (1) The editorial Board ensures that all articles accepted for publication have been
evaluated by two reviewers in a single blind peer review process and preserves the anonymity of both authors and reviewers. Based on these, the editors decide whether to accept or reject the articles reviews.
The article is accepted for publication by the editorial board after two positive reviews. In case one review is negative and the other is positive, a deciding reviewer is appointed.
(2) All names and email addresses entered on this journal website will be used exclusively
for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be provided for any other purpose or to any other party.
Conflict of interest
§ 3. (1) When selecting reviewers, care is taken that they are not affiliated with the same institution as each of the authors.
§ 4. (1) All tasks are completed within the specified deadline. The journal is published on time every January, June and October. If there are delays, authors are immediately informed of them.
(2) Editors communicate with authors in an effective and respectful manner.
Reviewers must ensure that all information related to submitted manuscripts is kept confidential and must report to the editor if they become aware of copyright infringement and plagiarism by the author.
Reviewers and the editorial board may not discuss manuscripts with other persons. The anonymity of referees is guaranteed.
Reviewers’ judgments must be objective. Reviewers’ comments on the following aspects are expected when conducting the review.
– Does the manuscript contain new and significant information?
– Does the abstract clearly and accurately describe the content of the manuscript?
– Is the problem formulated significantly and concisely?
– Are the methods described exhaustively?
– Are the interpretations and conclusions of the results justified?
– Are adequate references made to other works in the field?
– Is the language acceptable?
Transparency
§ 5. The entire review and publication process will be organized in a transparent
and structured manner. Authors will be fully informed in advance of publication.
